Track record

Former COO of Tabs. I built its creator program to 100M monthly social impressions, and the paid ad engine alongside it. The numbers below come from videos that program produced.

At Tabs I built the creator program and the paid engine next to it. For Magna I would run the same playbook: a small roster, one variable per test, losers killed early. Magnesium hydration and creatine is a category I have not run, so the claims sheet and the lead's calls come first.

Why now

  • Over 5 Million

    Sold already

Magna's own page says "Over 5 Million Sold". Creators give that scale a face and a flavor.

    Published
  • 2,000+

    Five star reviews

The site shows 2,000+ five star reviews, so a creator can point to real customer volume instead of promising results.

    Published
  • 11

    Flavors to film

Eleven flavors, from Peach Iced Tea to Watermelon Lime, give each creator a fresh taste test every week of posting.

    Published
  • 60-Day

    Guarantee

A 60-Day Guarantee lowers the risk for the first-time buyer a creator is talking to.

Part 4 of 15

Principles

  1. One number to protect

Cost per 1,000 views, target $1. Every creator, format and bonus is judged against it. The simulator starts at $5.74, so the gap is the work.

  2. One variable per test

Hook, flavor or setting changes alone. Seven videos per creator per week across Magna's 11 flavors gives enough tests to see what moved views.

  3. Losers killed early

A format with weak views after the first week of posting is cut and its slot goes to the best hook. The target needs a median of 21,711 views.

  4. A work channel, not an inbox

Briefs, claim questions and Monday reports live in one workspace with the brand lead. A question is answered before posting, not after.

Part 4 of 15, continued

One channel for everything

#briefs

Briefs, drafts, reviews and the weekly numbers

Illustrative
  1. DanaMon 8:30 AM

This week's brief: Peach Iced Tea, 28 Count. Hook is "That mouth-watering peach moment." Shoot it as a morning mix. One variable: the setting.

  2. JulesMon 11:15 AM

Can I say Magna helps my focus when I film the morning mix?

Only as Magna's own wording, attributed to Magna: "Magna blends 210 mg of magnesium with electrolytes to enhance focus, energy, and recovery." Never as your own result.

  3. ReportsAppTue 9:00 AM

Monday report is ready: seven videos per creator logged, cost per 1,000 views shown against the $1 target, one loser flagged to cut.

  4. DanaWed 2:10 PM

Draft back to you, Tess: the cut says "no bloating" as your own result. Swap it for the packet mix: one packet, 16 oz of water, shake. Reshoot the first three seconds.

Reshot. The new opener is the Fuel and Spark line.

  5. MarcoFri 10:40 AM

The Blue Ice mix passed 100,000 views overnight, organic only. Comments keep asking which flavor it was.

Logged for the $50 bonus, one per creator per month. It goes to the ad queue next and I will ask you for usage rights.

  6. ChecksAppFri 4:00 PM

Weekly check done: each posted video was matched against the claims sheet and the category rule. Videos that broke either are excluded from bonuses.

The messages illustrate the working channel, with invented people: briefs go out on Monday, claims questions get an answer the same day, and nothing posts without the check.

Part 5 of 15

Formats

  1. Flavor taste test

    Brief 01

    Flavor taste test

“Magna is delicious, natural, sweet but not sugary”

Close-up pour and first sip of one flavor, then a one-line verdict to camera in natural light.

  2. Morning mix

    Brief 02

    Morning mix

“Add one packet to 16 oz of water & shake well”

Counter shot: tear the packet, pour into a bottle, shake, drink. Single take, kitchen light, no cuts.

  3. Fuel and Spark

    Brief 03

    Fuel and Spark

“Creatine is the Fuel. Magnesium is the Spark.”

Selfie with the gym bag open and Magna Creatine on the bench. Say the line, mix the drink, show the session.

  4. Peach moment

    Brief 04

    Peach moment

    “That mouth-watering peach moment.”

Tight shot of Peach Iced Tea poured over ice, slow tilt up to the face on the first sip. Silent after the hook.

  5. No magnesium, no spark

    Brief 05

    No magnesium, no spark

    “No magnesium = no spark.”

Phone with a low battery on a desk, then the packet mix beside it. One take, claims sheet lines only.

Every product line in a video comes off the claims sheet word for word, for example “Creatine is the Fuel. Magnesium is the Spark. Electrolytes keep you Going.”, “Magna is delicious, natural, sweet but not sugary, and has no aftertaste.”, “Magna packs 1,170 mg of electrolytes, plus sodium and potassium into each flavorful packet.”. Product names are said as printed.

Part 6 of 15

Recruiting

Four sources in

  • Magna's own customers

The site shows 2,000+ five star reviews and 4.9/5 on 200+ reviews. People who already drink Magna are the first outreach.

  • The Ambassador Program

The site lists an Ambassador Program in its page blocks. I would read its terms first and fold applicants into the same vetting, not start a parallel list.

  • Training communities

Magna features athletes in its content, including a 2X World Cup Champion. Local gym and running creators fit the same daily-training story.

  • Flavor and tea-drink creators

Eleven flavors, from Peach Iced Tea to Watermelon Lime, give drink-review and recipe creators plenty to taste on camera.

Five filters, fewer each step

  1. 1Drinks on camera

Past videos show them mixing and tasting a powder drink without a script.

  2. 2Claims discipline

They read the claims sheet back correctly in a test brief before any pay is agreed.

  3. 3Audience fit

Training, running or focus-at-work content that matches Magna's creatine and hydration lines.

  4. 4Hook range

Recent posts show at least three different hook styles, so tests have material.

  5. 5Organic reach

Posts earn views without paid support, because bonuses are paid on organic views only.

Part 7 of 15

Who we want

  • Gym lifter

Trains most days and talks about supplements. Films the mix before a session.

Likely product: Magna | Creatine | 28 count

  • Runner

Long-run creator who mixes a packet into a water bottle on the route.

Likely product: Blue Ice | 28 Count

  • Tea lover

Reviews iced tea and lemonade flavors and talks taste before anything else.

Likely product: Raspberry Iced Tea | 28 Count

  • Desk worker

Work-from-home creator who mixes a packet at the desk. Focus talk stays Magna's wording.

Likely product: Iced Tea Lemonade | 28 Count

  • Flavor mixer

Combines flavors into mocktail-style drinks. The variety pack gives the range.

Likely product: Variety Pack | 28 Count

  • Sampler unboxer

Opens the sampler for first-time viewers deciding which flavor to try first.

Likely product: Sampler Pack | 14 Count

Left off, every time

Always left out: minors, creators who promise health outcomes as their own results, anyone who compares Magna to named competitors, and anyone who will not use the claims sheet. Category rule: no medical advice, ever.

Claims sheet

Approved, word for word

Quoted exactly as the brand publishes it.

  • “Creatine is the Fuel. Magnesium is the Spark. Electrolytes keep you Going.”

    Opening hook on creatine videos

  • “Add one packet to 16 oz of water & shake well to help the magnesium dissolve.”

Morning mix demo, spoken or on screen

  • “Magna is delicious, natural, sweet but not sugary, and has no aftertaste.”

    Flavor taste tests

  • “Magna packs 1,170 mg of electrolytes, plus sodium and potassium into each flavorful packet.”

Ingredient explainers, quoted as Magna's line

  • “All 35 ingredients are verified to ensure purity.”

    Quality talk, attributed to Magna

  • “Magna contains 50% of the daily recommended value of magnesium”

    Daily-routine videos, attributed to Magna

  • “60-Day Guarantee”

    Closing line for first-time buyers

Never said

Each one with the reason it stays out.

  • Magna fixed my sleep

A personal health outcome. Only Magna's own wording is allowed, attributed to Magna.

  • Magna replaces advice from your doctor

Medical advice is out of bounds for every creator.

  • Magna beats every other electrolyte brand

Unsupported comparison. No competitor is named or ranked.

  • Every pro athlete drinks Magna

The site mentions pro athletes, but a blanket claim goes beyond it.

  • Christen Press picked this for me

A name on the site is a mention, not an endorsement a creator can reuse.

  • Magna has zero sugar

The site says sweet but not sugary. Nothing stronger is on the claims sheet.

To confirm with the brand

Held until someone on the brand side signs off.

  • Magna has 70% less sodium than other electrolyte powders

A comparison. The lead confirms the basis before any creator says it.

  • Over 5 Million Sold

Confirm what is counted and the date before it appears on screen.

Part 10 of 15

Pay

  • Starter

    $300–600

    a month, by band

Starter: newer creators on their first Magna videos, with pay tied to posting volume.

    Bonus at the cap: $300

  • Standard

    $500–1,000

    a month, by band

Standard: steady posters who hit the weekly volume and keep claims clean.

    Bonus at the cap: $500

  • Premium

    $800–1,500

    a month, by band

Premium: creators whose videos beat the median and who can carry creatine and hydration.

    Bonus at the cap: $700

  1. Under 100,000 views

    $0

The base pay covers the work.

  2. 100,000 views

    +$50 flat

    Whatever the band.

  3. 1,000,000 views

    Top-up to your cap

Bonus = band cap − base pay.

  • One bonus per creator per month, so the $50 view bonus never stacks with itself.
  • Per video: a video earns the $50 flat once it passes 100,000 views.
  • Organic views only: paid reach from Magna's ad budget never counts toward a bonus.
  • No bonus on a video that broke the claims sheet or the category rule, even if it took off.

Starter: $600 cap − $300 fee = $300 bonus; Standard: $1,000 cap − $500 fee = $500 bonus; Premium: $1,500 cap − $800 fee = $700 bonus.

The bonus pays for reach after the work is done, never instead of it. One bonus per creator per calendar month keeps it an incentive and keeps the program cost predictable.

Part 11 of 15

Simulator

Read it from the top: 10 creators, 303 videos, 1.8M views a month cost $10,050, or $5.74 per 1,000 views against $1. Either 4.2% of videos go viral or the median hits 21,711.

To hit $1, the roster needs about 10.1M views a month. That means about 4.2% of videos going viral, or a median near 22K views per video. That is why the day-90 gate exists: keep the accounts that clear it, replace the rest.

Proposed, not measured. Views = videos × median, breakouts at 10× the median, viral at 750K. Bonus: +$50 for a viral video, one per creator per month.

The math. Videos a month = 10 creators × 7 a week × 52 ÷ 12 = 303. Views per video = (1 − 4% − 0.5%) × 1,500 + 4% × 10 × 1,500 + 0.5% × 750,000 = 5,782.5; 303 videos × 5,782.5 = 1.8M views a month. Cost = 10 × $1,000 = $10,000 base + 1 bonus × $50 = $10,050. Cost per 1,000 views = $10,050 ÷ 1.8M × 1,000 = $5.74 against a $1.00 target. To hit the target, either 4.2% of videos go viral or the median video reaches 21,711 views, other inputs held.

Move the sliders and the label recalculates. The result is only as good as the guesses behind it, so the median views, the share of breakouts and the share of viral videos are marked as Assumptions until the first month of posts replaces them.

Organic to paid

From organic to paid

  1. Post organic

The creator posts on their own account. Only organic views count toward a bonus.

  2. Read the week

The Monday report ranks every video by cost per 1,000 views. Videos past 100,000 views are flagged.

  3. Secure the rights

For each winner I ask the creator for usage rights and a partnership ad permission before any budget moves.

  4. Scale or stop

The winning hook runs as an ad with one variable changed at a time. Weak copies are cut early.

From the video to the checkout

  • First-order page, where the site offers 30% off your first order.
  • Subscription page, where the site shows up to 33% off your first subscription.
  • The Variety Pack | 28 Count at $55.00 for creators who show several flavors.
  • The Starter Kit offer, 38% off, for videos about trying more than one flavor.
  • Never a retailer shelf: no retailer or store count was found, so checkout is the only destination.

Part 15 of 15

Category rules

Rules for a magnesium and creatine drink

Magna is a drink powder with magnesium and a creatine line. Creators talk taste and routine freely. Benefits appear only in Magna's own words.

  • Claims sheet only

Creators quote only the lines on the claims sheet, copied word for word. A new line goes to the lead first, and nothing posts until it is approved.

  • Attribute every benefit

Focus, energy and recovery are said as Magna's wording: Magna says. Never as the creator's own result, and never as a promise to the viewer.

  • No medical advice

No conditions, no diagnoses, no replacing a doctor. A creator who gets a health question points to Magna's customer service email.

  • No comparisons

No named competitors and no ranking against other drinks. The sodium comparison stays off until the lead confirms its basis.

  • Disclose the partnership

Every paid post carries the platform's partnership label in the first line. Hiding it voids the pay and the bonus.

  • Offers as the site shows them

Use only live offers, such as 30% off a first order or the 60-Day Guarantee. No invented codes or discounts, and no promise of how fast results arrive.

The brand’s legal team sets the final rules. This is the operating floor I’d start from, not legal advice.
